TechyKids Summer Camp for Girls (8-11 years)
Focused on Robotics, Coding & Creativity!

Kids create their own technology inspired projects.  Projects topics and tools that the kids will use are catered to their skill and age level.  This will be a small group of 6 kids guaranteeing individualized attention. We have a unique personalized learning system so are able to have kids of various ages in the same camp while continuing to challenge them.  Participants are paired with peer of similar ability level or paired with campers who are comfortable working together. There are building and art activities mixed in so they will not be in front of the computer screen the entire time.

Instructor: Rekha Iyer

Instructor Bio:

Rekha is passionate about fostering learning in a fun and safe environment. She is a firm believer in the growth mindset and that all children can succeed in anything they set their mind to. Rekha aims to provide opportunities for kids to develop the 4 C’s of  21st century skills – critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity. To this end, she has coached elementary and middle school Destination Imagination teams for the past three years. She has also taught Math Olympiad classes at her daughter’s school. She is continually amazed by what kids can create when given the opportunity. The TechyKids camp provides both the structure and flexibility for kids to learn and simultaneously apply their learning in their own original project.

Aside from working with children over the past 3 years, Rekha has a background in bioinformatics and molecular biology along with an MBA from Berkeley-Haas. She looks forward to meeting you and your child!
